The Limousines are Eric Victorino and Nozebleed, who met via the
cyber-waves a few years back while Victorino was recording an
album in England with his former band, and Nozebleed was back in
the Bay Area cracking out the jams. Their brand of electronic,
laptop-driven, synth pop is light-hearted and fun, combining the
70's glam of MGMT with a Dimmak-friendly music for the clubs
and bedrooms. The Limousines lyrically hit notes of Parisians, The
Teenagers, and the gleeful bounces and bips of Architecture in
Helsinki on their anthemic internet hit "Very Busy People," a tongue-in-cheek tune about masturbation,
video games, Donnie Darko, and alcohol. This year at Treasure
Island, The Limousines will be sharing the stage with many well
known electronic artists hopefully putting these Bay Area electronic darlings on
the map for bigger and better things. CAROLINE PARTAMIAN
