Wild Beasts
SUNDAY / TUNNEL STAGE / 3:35–4:15pm

The sexually-charged, highly literary music of this English foursome flies well below the radar here in the States, which seems practically criminal once you hear it. By vessel of wonderfully crass theatrics and after-hours sensuality, Wild Beasts produce some of the most impressively catchy indie art rock either side of the pond has ever been graced with. The soaring falsetto of Hayden Thorpe and the deeper croon of bassist Tom Fleming take command of each song, applying the icing to a multi-layered, gloriously textured cake of quirky arrangements. Over the course of seven years and three full-length albums, they’ve explored the beauty of depravity with a poetic touch that is sure to hit all of your pleasure centers at this year’s festival.
